In case you thought I was going to share Christmas themed posts for the rest of this year, you were wrong 😉 My monthly jelly/jello cups have been in the works all month long – and here they are!
This month, I let YOU guys choose who I would be basing my jelly cups on (which I also did for my Bob’s Burgers jelly cups, too!), and whilst I am way too young to have seen the OG Scooby Doo TV show, I *did* growing up loving the early 00’s movies with Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prince Jr.
However, I chose to base these jelly cup’s design of the TV series as that is where it all began, that’s where a lot of you guys might know these characters from best, plus there are far too many outfit changes in the movies to keep up with 😅
Also, can’t remember if I ever mentioned it on here, but I somewhat-recently started a PEZ dispenser collection, and I got half the Scooby Doo ones way before I decided to make this recipe, but after I knew I was making these, I paid a lot more money for the others so I could complete my collection – even though they’re based off the latest movie 🙊
Don’t fret, my one-Halloween-post-a-year is here! One of our local supermarkets had some super cute Halloween themed silicon moulds that I bought instantly even though I had zero intention to actually use.
However, I eventually fell in love with everyone else’s love of Halloween – even amongst all the darkness that 2020 brought along with it – that I decided to actually use them for something, so here we are!
This recipe was actually a huuuuuge pain 🙄 You’d think by now I’d be an expert at all things gummy AND jello, but nope, these guys took quite a few tries and I almost threw in the towel because over here in Australia we really just don’t care about Halloween 😅
But a good 90% (or more!) of my readers and followers are from America, so this is for you guys! I swear one day I will put a lot more effort into planning better Halloween content in advance. I want to actually paint and carve pumpkins one year – AND make costumes too! I mean, you all must love this holiday for a reason, right?! Anyway, let’s get onto the recipe 👇
And just like that, it’s Sailor Venus’ birthday again! I can’t believe it’s already been a year since I made my gummy candy necklace as an homage to her iconic attack Venus Love-Me Chain.
This year, I decided to recreate one of her famous itemsas an edible treat: her compact! Well, more accurately, Minako’s compact, which enables her to transform into Sailor Venus ☺️
Even though I’ve really jumped on the jello** train this year, I tried my best to make something that WASN’T jello-related for this recipe and, even though I had a seizureliterally the morning of making these meringues, I still managed to get them done and I am super happy about that! 🙌
(Although I wanted to get these posted YESTERDAY, as that was the 22nd for us over here in Australia – and that is her actual birthday – but my laptop decided to stop working! So I had to buy a new one, and here we are 😅)
